Title and Organization:
Ross Wiener is a vice president at the Aspen Institute and executive director of the Education and Society Program. In this role, Ross leads professional learning and policy development networks for education leaders and policymakers. In addition to ongoing networks, the Education & Society Program hosts public conversations as well as off-the-record workshops and publishes original research and commentary. From 2002 to 2009, Ross worked at the Education Trust, an advocacy organization that advances equity in public education, first as policy director and then as vice president for program and policy. Prior to Education Trust, Ross served for five years as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division. Ross is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, George Washington University Law School, and clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
