Bio:
Phillip W. Shoopman is an engineering consultant in the area of environmental engineering and a senator in the South Carolina Legislature. He previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He serves on the Oversight Commission of the South Carolina Ports Authority, which facilitates over $50 billion in economic activity annually. He received his BS in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, where he also earned his MS in engineering. He will earn an MBA in international business this fall at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Phil resides in Greer, South Carolina. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
