María Lilly Delgado is an experienced journalist that has worked for several international and national news media, and has cover many of the most important events of her country. Currently, she is working as a Media Specialist for the Voices for All (VFA) Program, a USAID-funded program implemented by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX). "Voices for All" strengthens the presence of independent media in Nicaragua and enhances research and policy analysis of the media sector in order to increase the dissemination of information for citizens. Maria Lilly is also an advisor of the Violeta Chamorro Foundation which created and promotes the digital platform www.derechoapreguntar.org, the first digital web which facilitates the Nicaraguan society and journalists to request and ask for public information to State-owned Institutions. She is also has worked as an independent consultant coach and trainer in the effective communication area with women entrepreneurs in the export sector in Nicaragua. Also, she worked as a international news correspondent as a television producer and reporter for UNIVISION, which is the most important Hispanic News Network in the United States. María Lilly also constructed her own communication project, which included establishing a private audiovisual production company, which produced a live interview program called "Lives and Confessions". Through professional videos, "Lives and Confessions" documented personalities and communities whose lives and experiences were relevant, extraordinary, controversial or simply different. María participated of the one-year program "The John Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University;" She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Central American University; and She is a Fellow of the tenth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
