Bio:
Fernando is the CEO of Verde Money Inc., a startup financial services company. He was formerly the Co-Chairman of Mercury Public Affairs in Washington, DC. He was also the founder and CEO of American Latinos United, a political action committee in the United States. Fernando was Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of StarMedia Network, the first multi-billion dollar Internet public company in Latin America. Prior to founding StarMedia, Fernando was the Managing Director of Marketing Communications for AT&T Latin America and the Caribbean. He also held various senior positions at Ogilvy in both the United States and Latin America, and at advertising agencies Lowe & Partners and Wunderman Worldwide. He is a media contributor and the author of the book Life in Action. Fernando received a B.A. in History with distinction from Connecticut College. He is a 2007 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
