Anna Kate Hipp, Liberty Fellowship co-founder, is a seasoned philanthropist who has made volunteerism for education and environmental issues her life’s work. She serves on the boards of Southern Environmental Law Center, Greenville Health System, Trees Greenville, and Carolina Foothills Garden Club. Past board memberships include the Peace Center for Performing Arts, Community Foundation of Greenville, The Greenville County Museum of Art Association, Brookgreen Gardens, Friends of the Reedy River and The Pawleys Island Beautification Foundation. Instrumental in the development of Greenville’s Falls Park on the Reedy River, Hipp co-chaired the effort that raised $3.2 million from the private sector to form the Falls Park Endowment. A Mary Baldwin College (Staunton, Virginia) alumnus and Trustee Emeriti, she served on the Board of Trustees for 25 years – five years as the first alumnae chair – receiving an honorary Ph.D. and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from the college. An instrument-rated pilot, Hipp has logged almost 3,500 hours and flown in seven all women air races.
