Bio:
Solita Marcelli is Chief Investment Officer Americas for UBS Global Wealth Management, where she oversees both the CIO Research and Investment Solutions businesses. In this capacity, Solita is responsible for bringing together investment insights and implementable solutions to optimize impact for UBS Americas clients, with over USD 1.5 trillion in total invested assets. She is a member of the global CIO and WM USA management committees. Solita’s 300+-person team provides tailored advice to 6,000+ UBS Advisors, on topics including asset allocation, equity and fixed income strategy, sustainable and thematic investments, alternative investments, single security analysis, and more.
Prior to UBS, Solita was the Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) for Wealth Management at J.P. Morgan. Previously, she was a member of the equity research team at DLJ / Credit Suisse First Boston, and later held a similar role at Thomas Weisel Partners.
Solita is widely recognized as a thought leader in the industry, and is featured frequently in the financial media, including CNBC, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal. In 2022, she was recognized as a Top 15 Voice in Finance on LinkedIn.
Outside of UBS, she currently serves on the Board of the UJA Federation of New York, and was the 2022 recipient of UJA’s Alan C. Greenberg Leadership Award. She is a fellow of the 2018 Class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. She is also a member of the Global Advisory Council for the Wilson Center, a premier global think tank, and a member of the Economic Club of New York.
Throughout her career, Solita has long been a strong and passionate advocate for diversity, equity & inclusion, having cofounded a private banking women’s network, and spearheaded a sponsorship program designed to elevate diverse talent.
Solita holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA in Economics and History from Brandeis University. Solita grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and now resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
