Bio:
Solita Marcelli is deputy chief investment officer at UBS Global Wealth Management Americas.
Prior to UBS, she was managing director and global head of fixed income, currencies, and commodities (FICC) for Global Wealth Management at J.P. Morgan. With a team of over 100 investment professionals serving private clients in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, the FICC business represents over $100 billion in managed client assets and over $300 billion notional in annual brokerage transactions. In addition to creating innovative discretionary and advisory solutions, Solita’s team is responsible for advising private clients on the implementation of FICC strategies within the context of their overall investment portfolios. Solita is a member of the firm’s wealth management capital markets investment group, global markets council, and serves as an asset class leader for FICC strategic views. Over her J.P. Morgan career, she has held multiple roles, including head of emerging markets debt trading and international head of fixed income. Solita is a founder of numerous diversity programs including the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Women’s Network, now a 2,000+ member network across both Asset and Wealth Management. Prior to J.P. Morgan, she was a member of the equity research team at DLJ/Credit Suisse First Boston, and later held a similar role at Thomas Weisel Partners. She serves on several committees of the UJA Federation of New York including the Wall Street Strategic Council and Investment Management Committee. Solita grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. She holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a bachelor’s in economics and history from Brandeis University. She resides in New York City with her husband and daughter. Solita is a Fellow of the 2018 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network as well as a member of the Economic Club of New York.
