Title and Organization:
Craig Montuori is the cofounder and executive director/CEO of Global EIR, an economic development nonprofit that partners with American cities. Global EIR helps cities welcome immigrant entrepreneurs to start new businesses, attract capital, and create American jobs.
During this past year's COVID crisis, he supported mitigation efforts across America in his work as a cofounder of the C19 Coalition, which facilitated community efforts to secure protective gear for communities in need, as well as vaccination efforts and promotion of domestic manufacturing.
Previously, he was an advocate, community organizer, and lobbyist at Venture Politics and PolitiHacks on behalf of the early stage startup community, working on issues ranging from Open Internet/Internet Freedom and entrepreneurial immigration to crowdfunding and early crypto regulations.
His academic background includes a bachelors in aerospace engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a masters in Public Affairs from the University of San Francisco.
