Title and Organization:
Laura Entwistle is the Founder and CEO of EmancipAction, a non profit organization which seeks to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children in the developing world. EmancipAction is working to develop a scalable and effective approach to trauma care, which empowers victims to both turn around their lives, and also to testify successfully, to increase the conviction rate of traffickers.
Laura has extensive experience living and working in Hong Kong, China and India. After receiving an MBA from the Harvard Business School, Laura gained professional experience in the corporate sector with the Boston Consulting Group in New York and Hong Kong. During her five years living in Mumbai, Laura served as President of the Board of Trustees at the American School of Bombay and founded the Mumbai Chapter of Room to Read.
Laura now lives in Singapore with her husband, Brooks, and her three daughters, Bryanna, Kayla and Ashley. Laura serves on the Board of Directors of the Battery Dance Company, a world leader in cultural diplomacy, inspiring and empowering disadvantaged youth around the world through the arts. Laura also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Singapore American School.
