About the Resnick Aspen Action Forum

Welcome Letter

Resnick SAVE THE DATES: JULY 25 - 29, 2018

For over 60 years, the Aspen Institute has convened the world’s leaders to pause and reflect on the critical issues of our time.  We invite these leaders to do more than just reflect.  We invite them to move “from thought to action” at the Resnick Aspen Action Forum.

The Action Forum is an annual event offered every July in Aspen, Colorado.  The Action Forum is designed to connect Fellows from the Aspen Global Leadership Network with other action-oriented leaders from Aspen Institute programs and partners.

All of those attending – we anticipate 350 each year  – will share a common thread: They will be “doers” – men and women who have committed to making a positive difference in the world.

The Action Forum program includes inspiring readings-based seminar dialogues, roundtable dialogues on leadership, intensive networking opportunities and “Action Workshop Dialogues” offering help to those facing hurdles as they tackle challenges in their communities, countries and the world.

There is no other event designed to spur such a highly talented, global group of leaders to do something about the world’s challenges.

The theme of the 2017 Action Forum is The Great Re-Set.

Is it just us or does the world seem to be shifting on its very axis? Surprise decisions by voters across the globe. New views on trade. Unprecedented movements of people. Artificial intelligence displacing workers. The human genome open for tinkering. How do we, as leaders, recalibrate to make sure that these changes have a positive impact on society? And how do we do this while remaining true to our core values? The future of everything is happening now. If ever there was a time for courageous, enlightened leadership, this is it. This is the time for The Great Re-Set.

I hope you join as we ask ourselves – “What more can we do?”
