Edward Man is the founder of The Associates, a family office focusing on mission-driven investments. Since 2012, venture investments have been made in ethic gold sourcing in Latin America / Africa, electric vehicle system based in China, and urban hydroponic farming in Hong Kong.
As a flagship philanthropic investment, ChickenSoup Foundation was founded based on several key private equity investing principles and operated under a unique servicing model with at-risk families as the beneficiary unit.
Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Edward was with the Asia Buyout team at the Carlyle Group for 12 years, during which he executed seven investments across four funds with $1.5 billion in equity capital. He was trained in investment banking and public accounting in New York and London.
Edward sat on the Alumni Board of Governors of the University of Michigan Ross Business School, where he graduated with Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
