Sindi Mabaso Koyana is the co-founder and executive chairperson of AWCA Investment Holdings, an investment company wholly owned and managed by women Chatered Accountants. She is one of the leading women and has held key positions in Corporate South Africa as the former group chief financial officer of Transnet, one of the largest African transport & logistics groups and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. Previously, Sindi was the executive partner at Ernst Young. She was also the president of African Women Chartered Accountants, where she passionately led the growth of the organisation and spear-headed the establishment of AWCA Investment Holdings which she currently chairs. Sindi was named one of the country's 20 most powerful business women by the Financial Mail and was a Finalist of the 2004 Business Woman of the Year Award. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors and Audit, Compliance and Risk Committees of Toyota South Africa and listed companies Allied Technologies and Adcorp Holdings. Sindi was the Deputy Chair of the FIFA Audit & Compliance Committee. Previous boards include South African Airways and MTN. She is a Fellow of the eighth class of the ALISA and a member of the AGLN.
