Linus W. Gitahi is formerly CEO of Nation Media Group, the biggest media firm in East and Central Africa. It comprises both print and electronic platforms. He joined NMG after a long career as a senior executive with pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline in East and West Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Linus graduated with a bachelor of commerce (accounting major) from the University of Nairobi and earned a diploma in management from the Kenya Institute of Management. He also holds an MBA from the United States International University. Now Linus is chairman of the Federation of Diamond Trust bank chairman Tropikal brands (Africa) a manufacturing and distribution company chairman of Oxygene Marketing communications Firecyor of Jubilee Allianz insurance ,Director of Kenya Association of Manufacturing and also AIB Axys Capital .Linus is also Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), and a holder of the Moran of the Burning Spear from the Government of Kenya. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
