Bio:
Henry Gaperi is CEO of the Social Security Fund of Rwanda. He is currently spearheading the reform and modernization of the social security system in Rwanda for the purpose of increasing the coverage and adequacy of benefits as well as ensuring savings mobilization that will significantly contribute to the socio-economic development in the country and in the region. He has served on several boards including banks and NGOs. He is a founding member of the Association of VAT administrators in Africa. He also headed the reform and modernization project in the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) which oversaw the modernization of the Rwanda tax system ranging from policy, administration and legal framework. He has an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a bachelor's in commerce from the National University of Lesotho. He is married with three children. He is a Fellow of the second class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
