Bio:
Caleb C. Fort is co-chair of The Merit Group, Inc., a supplier to the paint and decorating industry in Spartanburg. He has also been instrumental in the acquisition, growth and expansion of Lancaster Distributing of Spartanburg into a national distributor. Caleb previously worked as sales manager for DuBard Inc., an Anheuser-Busch distributor in Florence, and in management development for Sonoco Products Company, where he currently serves on the board of directors. He is also on the board of directors of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, and the board of trustees at Converse College. He is a board member and former treasurer of The Arts Partnership of Spartanburg and also serves on the South Carolina Governor's School of Science & Mathematics Foundation. He is a past member of the Investment Committee of the Spartanburg County Foundation and past board vice president of the South Carolina Historical Society. Caleb earned a BA in English from The University of South Carolina, and just recently completed his term as chair of the board of trustees of Coker College. He is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
