Frederick (Fred) D. Gibbs is president and CEO of Banc Capital & Financial Services, Inc., a financial intermediary company that provides commercial real estate loans direct and through a number of bank and non-bank lenders. Prior to launching Banc Capital, Fred spent nine years at First South Bank, and became president of First South Financial Services. He currently serves as president of the Wofford College National Alumni Association, a trustee of Wofford College, a board member for Upstate Workforce Investment, board member of Business Carolina, Inc, chairman of the City of Spartanburg Investment Oversight Committee, and board member of the Mary Black Foundation and the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Foundation. He earned a bachelors degree in business economics from Wofford College. He is a Fellow of the third class of the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
