Bio:
Peter Barth is best known for his work developing the code school / bootcamp industry, currently Chief Executive Officer at Flatiron School and previously as Founder and Chief Executive Officer at The Iron Yard. He has launched 38 campuses across North America and Europe, funded numerous diversity scholarship programs, and created several nonprofits in the space. These organizations have helped more than 30k thousand students launch a career in tech and design. Over his career he has worked in both for profit and not for profit, private and public organizations and alongside several venture capital and private equity firms including SoftBank and Apollo Global Management.
Prior to his work in education, Peter created and managed several startup accelerator programs and seed funds in addition being a founding board member of the Global Accelerator Network.
Peter is a member of the 2016 class of the Aspen Institute's Braddock Scholars program, a member of the 10th class of the Liberty Fellowship, and serves on numerous boards. He grew up in central Florida, studied at Vanderbilt and Harvard, and currently lives in Greenville, SC with his wife and 5 children.
