Bio:
Donald Tang is the CEO of the D. E. Shaw group’s Greater China business and a member of the Board of Directors of D. E. Shaw & Co. (Asia Pacific) Limited. In this capacity, he oversees the operations of the D. E. Shaw group’s main investment office in Asia. Donald worked on the firm’s private investment activities in the region, including the establishment of the Hong Kong office and the hiring of key personnel, prior to the formation of the Greater China business in 2007. He joined the firm’s New York headquarters in 2004. Prior to that, he worked at Citadel Investment Group, L.L.C. Donald is a SFC responsible officer (Types 1 and 9), and a member of the Asia-Pacific Steering Committee of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. He is a member of the Harvard Kennedy School Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government Advisory Council. Donald graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor of science degrees in computer science and business administration, and a minor in computational finance. Donald is a Fellow of the fifth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
