Bio:
Kathleen Kimiko Phillips-Lohrmann is the Founding Partner of KKPL Advisory, a Munich-based consultant firm. Kimi previously served as the president and COO of Berens Capital Management, an independent asset management firm with distinct expertise in global, value-oriented investing. Kimi joined the firm in 2001 and remained a Partner until the end of 2018 when she relocated to Munich. During her tenure, she served in a variety of roles across investment manager research, investor relations, marketing and operations. Kimi began her career at Casey Quirk at Deloitte where she specialized in advising investment management organizations. Kimi is on the Leadership Team of the Wharton Alumni Club of Germany and Austria where she serves as Munich Ambassador. Kimi is a Trustee Emerita of Bowdoin College and previously served on the board of the Metropolitan Opera as well as Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa (AGE Africa). Kimi was also a member of the YPO Metro New York Chapter. Kimi was a Fellow in the second class of the Aspen Institute’s Finance Leaders Fellowship and she is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Kimi received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in economics and psychology from Bowdoin College. Kimi, her husband and three children reside in Munich, Germany.
