Bio:
Saar Gur is general partner of CRV, an early stage venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, CA. He loves working with founders who are working on high impact businesses and helping them succeed. As an investor, Saar has been involved in early investments into companies such as Patreon, Oportun, Ring, Doordash and Classpass. He has also been involved in many acquisitions in the past few years including: MileIQ (acquired by MSFT), Viki (acquired by Rakuten), Orchestra/Mailbox (acquired by Dropbox) and Admob (acquired by Google). Prior to joining CRV, Saar also helped found Brightroll (acquired by Yahoo). Saar earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). Outside of work, Saar loves to kitesurf, teaches at the Stanford GSB and lives in Palo Alto with his wife and two kids. Saar is a Fellow of the 2017 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
