Ben Ye is the founder and CEO of The ONE Music Group, a leading music education company that innovates an effective and enjoyable way of music learning with smart piano and online education technologies. Ben founded The ONE in 2013. The company was since funded by Sequoia Capital, Innovation Works, ZhenFund and world-renowned pianist Lang Lang. Its flagship product, The ONE Smart Piano has been a best-seller since its launch in 2014 and has now become the piano choice for over 250,000 families worldwide. The ONE Smart Piano has won many awards like Edison Awards, CES Innovation Award, and earned recommendation from musicians including the legendary Stevie Wonder and Grammy Award Winner No Doubt. Its music education solution, The ONE Piano Classroom, has been acquired by over 4,000 piano schools across China. Prior to this, Ben joined Zero2IPO Group in 2010 as managing director, and invested in companies like Ganji and Hoolai Games. Ben is the member of Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club (TEEC) and AAMA, and has been awarded as “Venture Star” by Tsinghua University Science Park. Ben is a serial entrepreneur with another two previous multi-million exits. In 2007, he established the fashion website Haibao.com which was officially acquired by CBS Interactive in 2011, and in 1999 he established the V2 Technology which was one of the leading companies in the web conferencing software market. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Tsinghua University majoring in electronic engineering. Ben is a Fellow of the sixth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
