Bio:
Alex Yang is CEO of Volmart Inc., a market maker that cross trades among TradFi and digital assets on CME, Eurex, Bursa and TFEX. Volmart is One Stop Shop for tech consultancy in Customised Digital Asset Service including derivatives modelling, pricing and structuring. Prior to Volmart, Alex was also CEO of a Virtual Economy Tech Limited, a Blockchain service provider for CMI and CGSE. He was founding partner of two TMT virtual capital funds, Beam VC and Cyber Carrier Capital, which invested in more than 40 startups globally. Prior to venture capitals, he was head of APAC Structured Rates Trading at Nomura International and an exotic trader at UBS HK. Alex started his career at Jump Trading as a quantitative developer in Chicago. He earned his bachelor's degree from Peking University and Ph.D. from Northwestern University, both in mathematics. Alex is a vice chairman of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong, and deputy director of Innovation Center of Data Science, SUSTech. Alex is a Fellow of the sixth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
