Ashley knew her calling was in preserving South Carolina’s natural environment when she first attended Camp St. Christopher as a child. From that point forward, her education and training have been geared towards advancing the cause of conservation. Her leadership in the lowcountry has been recognized nationally with an invitation to participate on the Leadership Council of the Land Trust Alliance – an honor reserved only for the top executives of land trusts in the country. She also serves on the Porter-Gaud Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ashley holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. She is a Fellow of the 2019 Class of Liberty Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
