Summer Nasief is a sought-after, award-winning healthcare technology innovator, moderator, and keynote speaker. She is currently General Manager for G42 Healthcare Group, a semi-government authority building Abu Dhabi’s Sovereign Health Cloud for the Nation.
Previously she holds a strong record leading fortune 100 organization ranging from roles at Microsoft where she was the Healthcare Director for Middle East, Africa & Turkey leading the company’s digital cloud transformation framework across 79 countries both private and public sector, to building the IOT Healthcare business for Honeywell MEN leveraging smart infrastructure technology which is now the backbone of the connected hospital IOT ecosystem and creating the next-generation automation and integration. Summer was named 2015 Arabian Business Top 100 Most Influential Women in the Arab World and has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions
Summer also spent 15-year in an upwardly mobile career at IBM that took her to numerous cities worldwide including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, and lastly her hometown of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Here she became the company’s first Saudi female industry leader to be appointed in the Kingdom since the company’s inception in 1914. In this role, she led its healthcare and life sciences vertical, working with government agencies including the Saudi Ministry of Health on the quality of care transformation throughout the Kingdom
Summer has become a prominent ambassador for empowering women to become active agents in the ever-evolving Saudi female workforce, collaborating with the country’s Ministry of Labour on steps toward this objective. She was awarded a 2014 fellowship by the Aspen Institute for the Middle East Leadership chapter, recognized for her game-changing work on a regional level. She was also named one of Arabian Business’ 100 most influential and powerful Middle East females in the region. She is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
