For more than 25 years, Pauline Brown has acquired, built and led global brands. She currently is an Executive-in-Residence at Columbia Business Schools; the author of a new business book, entitled Aesthetic Intelligence, which was published by HarperCollins in late 2019; and the host of a weekly radio show on SiriusXM called Tastemakers. Prior to entering media and academia, Pauline was the Chairman of North America for the world’s leading luxury goods company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, where she provided regional leadership for 70 brands in 5 sectors, including fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, and wines & spirits. Before LVMH, she was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where she specialized in consumer and retail investments. Prior to working in private equity, Pauline held senior roles at leading cosmetics companies, including Estee Lauder and Avon. She began her career as a Management Consultant at Bain. Pauline serves on the Board of Governors of the Parsons School of Design, the Advisory Board of the Penn Center for Neuroaesthetics at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Executive Alumni Board of the Wharton School. She received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. She is 2008 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a former member of the Fellowship's board of overseers.
