Bio:
James Abraham is building a climate venture to engage communities to lower emissions. He was the founder and director of SolarArise (a solar IPP) which was one of the first to deliver solar power at tariffs lower than coal power. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of SunBorne Energy, a solar EPC. Prior to SunBorne, James was a senior partner at The Boston Consulting Group in India, where he was a founding partner of BCG's India system.
James is currently a member of the US-India Track 2 Dialogue on Climate Change. He serves on several boards including LTiMindtree, Vistaar Finance, and Chairs the Board of International Justice Mission. James has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from the Wharton School, and an MA (international relations) from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. He is a Fellow of the 3rd Generation Class of Ananta Aspen Centre’s Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship. He chairs the Leadership Committee of the Ananta Aspen Centre and is a moderator for and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
