Title and Organization:
James Abraham is building climate tech to engage communities to lower emissions. He was the founder and director of SolarArise (a solar IPP) which was acquired. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of SunBorne Energy, a solar EPC. Prior to SunBorne, James was a senior partner at The Boston Consulting Group in India, where he founded and led BCG’s New Delhi office and was part of the founding team for the BCG's India system.
James is currently a member of the US-India Track 2 Dialogue on Climate Change. He serves on several boards including LTiMindtree, SmartPower India, Vistaar Finance, LnT Water, and International Justice Mission. James has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School, and an MA (international relations) from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. He is a Fellow of the 3rd Generation Class of Ananta Aspen Centre’s Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship. He chairs the Leadership Committee of the Ananta Aspen Centre and is a moderator for and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
