Bio:
James Abraham is building a climate venture to engage firms, communities, and individuals to plant forests to recapture emissions. He was the founder and director of SolarArise (a solar IPP) which was one of the first to deliver solar power at tariffs lower than coal power, and the Managing Director of SunBorne Energy, a solar EPC. Prior to the solar ventures, James was a Founding Senior Partner of The Boston Consulting Group in India.
James is currently a member of the US-India Track 2 Dialogue on Climate Change. He serves on the boards of LTiMindtree, Vistaar Finance, and Chairs the Board of International Justice Mission. James has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from the Wharton School, and an MA (international relations) from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. He is a Fellow of the 3rd Generation Class of Ananta Aspen Centre’s Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship. He chairs the Leadership Committee of the Ananta Aspen Centre and is a moderator for and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
