Title and Organization:
Margarita is President & CEO of Renaissance Holdings, which develops, invests in, and manages real estate projects in Central America and the Caribbean; among them the Citibank Tower and Plaza at Acropolis in the Dominican Republic, and Forum Office Parks in Costa Rica. She also heads Kentucky Food Groups Ltd, which operates TGIFridays, KFC , Pizza Hut & Siembras & Cosechas restaurants. Retail operations in Mango clothing. Margarita is a member of Young Presidents' Organization and a study group leader of Harvard Business School's YPO program. She is the Founder and President-Emeritus of AMARTE (Asociación de Amigos del Museo de Arte Costarricense); The Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress; ADA or Amigos del Aprendizaje; The assembly of InBio, Costa Rica's premier Bio diversity center; and president of "Ticos y Nicas: Somos Hermanos". Margarita attended Duke University and Columbia University's Barnard College, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology, and a Minor in Economics. She is a 2005 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, a moderator for the Central American Leadership Initiative, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
