Sidney Breyer is Brazilian entrepreneur and Founder of Aggir Capital & Gestao in Rio de Janeiro. He was Founder of Alog Data Centers do Brasil. ALOG is among the leading carrier-neutral data center services providers in Brazil. Sidney grew ALOG to $100 million in revenue and 600 employees before he sold it to Equinix and Riverwood in 2011. He has already founded six companies. Sidney's first company, Z-Movie-one of the first e-commerce sites in Brazil to produce and sell multimedia CD-Roms-was founded in 1995. He left Z-Movie in 1996 and founded Ability Comunicacao e Tecnologia Ltda., an online marketing agency that he is still involved with today. In 1997, he founded Elefante Internet SA, Brazil's largest personal assistant website. In 1999, he founded Aceleradora.com, an internet incubator. In addition to his for-profit work, Sidney also founded Potencial NGO in 2011, a non-profit that helps low-income students graduate from high school, into college, and then helps them in securing their first job. He has also invested in education ventures in Brazil, and serves as a board member and investor in Eleva Educação, a private school focused on low-income students with more than 70.000 students in 130 locations across Brazil . Additionally, he serves on the boards of Lojas Americanas SA, Conexa Saude and Mandic Cloud Solutions. Sidney graduated in Aeronautical Mechanics Engineering from the Aeronautics Technology Institute - ITA. He holds an MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ and an OPM from Harvard Business School. He is 2013 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
