Title and Organization:
Philip Javellana is the senior communications manager for the Aspen Global Leadership Network, responsible for telling the stories of the more than 2,400 Fellows making an impact on the world s most intractable challenges. Prior to joining the AGLN, Philip was an engagement and insights supervisor at Meredith Xcelerated Marketing (MXM) where he led social media strategy and insights reporting for a number of high profile national and international entertainment and consumer brands. Before MXM, Philip served as the senior brand and communications manager at City Year Los Angeles. At City Year, he led public relations, digital media, video production, and speaker training initiatives to communicate the impact of the hundreds of AmeriCorps members serving in Los Angeles highest need schools. He has also held positions at NBC, MTV, and the National Press Foundation. Philip holds an MSc in global media from the London School of Economics and an MA in global communications from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California. He earned his BA in public communication at American University in Washington, DC, where he graduated magna cum laude.
