Title and Organization:
Ahmad Aweidah is the CEO of the Palestine Exchange (PEX) since June 2008. Before joining the PEX, Ahmad held leading positions in private sector institutions. He was vice president for Commercial and Operations (2005-2008) at PalTel Group- the primary telecom operator in Palestine. Prior to that, he was vice president - Head of Retail Banking (2002-2005) at Arab Bank, the largest bank in Palestine. He has also held other positions in the field of banking, marketing and telecom between 1995 and 2002 in Palestine and France. Ahmad's core skills include organizational strategy, leadership and mentoring. He also has extensive experience in the design, planning and roll out of new products and services. Ahmad speaks three languages: Arabic, English and French. Ahmad holds a Master's Degree in Economics from The University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
