Bio:
Alissa is a board director, Executive in Residence at Columbia Business School, and host of The Leadership Dance podcast. A former professional dancer turned global business leader, she has over 25 years of healthcare, consumer goods, and technology experience at industry giants including Johnson & Johnson and Google. At Google Cloud she pioneered strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, driving digital transformation in healthcare through the innovative application of data, analytics, and AI. Her tenure as a senior executive at Johnson & Johnson saw her at the helm of multi-billion-dollar businesses, demonstrating her agility in navigating the complex landscapes of both the Consumer and MedTech sectors. She has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Alissa serves on the Board of Directors of The Honest Company (NASDAQ: HNST), the Board of Trustees of American Ballet Theatre, and is an Executive in Residence at Columbia Business School. She previously served on the Board of Pulmonx Corporation (NASDAQ: LUNG). Recognized by Fierce Healthcare as one of the most influential minority healthcare executives, she was named to the Financial Times Agenda Diversity 100 and was honored by BoardProspects as one of 100 AAPI Board Directors Making a Difference. She is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and holds two design patents. Alissa offers strategic expertise on digital transformation, health technology, global brand development, and leadership growth.
Before her business career, Alissa lived her childhood dream of becoming a professional dancer. She toured internationally for 6 years with the Limón Dance Company and Ralph Lemon Dance, performing at some of the world’s most prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, and the Cannes Dance Festival. She earned an A.B. in English at Princeton University and her MBA at Columbia Business School.
