Dr Gumbi has a PhD in Pharmacology (UCT), a MBA degree and certificates in finance, intellectual property and technology management. She is currently CEO and Founder of iVac Biotherapeutics, a manufacturer of biologics products. Dr Gumbi has extensive experience in the development and commercialization of biotechnology innovations. She is a Fellow of the eighth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
