Michelle Culver is a Home Team Leader on the Regional Operations team. She recently started her new role as Home Team Leader managing executive directors in twelve urban and rural regions across the west. Prior to her new role, she spent last year as an Executive Vice President and spent six years as a Senior Vice President on the Regional Operations team. She directly led regions during periods of transition (including serving as the regional Interim ED), supported regions on the front lines of education reform and innovation, launched and managed seven new sites and helped design and execute the leadership development of the 45-person national executive director team. Culver was a founding member of TFA's Teacher Support and Development team and co-led the team charged with ensuring a shared vision for the national program strategy during a period of aggressive growth. Culver started her career in education as a TFA Los Angeles corps member and fifth grade teacher in Compton. She graduated from Tulane University in 1999 and holds a M.A. in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount. Michelle is a Fellow of the 11th class of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
