Bio:
Michelle Culver is the Founder of the Rithm Project, which stokes conversation and action to rethread human connection in the age of AI. She has led at the forefront of human flourishing for over two decades, working at the intersection of equity and innovation.
Michelle began her career teaching 5th grade in Compton. She helped forge Teach For America’s first national program team to improve educator efficacy while increasing diversity as the teaching corps grew ten-fold. As the Senior Vice President and later Executive Vice President of Regional Operations, Michelle directly oversaw Executive Directors across the country- responsible for a $68m operating budget, 2,000 teachers, 10,000 alumni, 300 staff members and 200,000 students.
Steeped in her experience with the fastest improving school districts in the nation, Michelle grew her conviction that we need a more fundamental redesign of the American public education system. In founding the Reinvention Lab, she worked with a multigenerational team to define this future and lead the inclusive R&D to advance that vision.
She serves as a board member for RISE Colorado & the Reinvention Lab and an advisor to Playlab AI, aiEDU and the Circle India. She is married to a futurist at Salesforce and together, they are charting possible futures they would like their two girls to inherit and shape. She is a proud Pahara Fellow with the Aspen Institute.
