Title and Organization:
Patricia Planells de Rengifo serves as Managing Partner for PR Consulting Corp in Panama, a credit training and financial consultancy firm in Panama. She also serves as an independent board member for financial institutions in banking and insurance, forum leader at Renaissance Executive Forums, an advisory board network with global reach. She is cohort of the sixth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative, and fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Previously, she headed the corporate lending team at BAC Panama, a regional banking conglomerate and GE Corporate affiliate, leading banking teams along with country manager duties in the region. Since 1998, she has been involved in advisory, corporate training and academia, with instructional posts at the Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua, a Catholic center for higher education in Panama, and the International Banking Institute, academic branch for the Panama Bankers Association, leading the instruction of diverse finance and bank related topics. Patricia has published articles in the Banca y Mercado Magazine, the monthly publication of the Panama Bankers Association. She has given pro bono efforts as financial advisor for several nonprofit organizations such as Fundación de Amigos del Niño con Leucemia, and the orphan home San Jose de Malambo. Before joining BAC, she served as credit officer at Bank Boston Panama Branch, and production plant engineer for Kraft Foods. Born and raised in Panama, Patricia is a magna cum laude engineer, holds an MBA with honors, happily married, mother of three, and fond of reading and the delivery of corporate lectures.
