Title and Organization:
Michael Allen is an Associate with McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Clemson University. He is one of few architecture majors to be a starter on a college football team and earn his architecture degree. Michael was a Greenville Magazine 2011 Best & Brightest honoree and a Diversity Leadership graduate with the Riley Institute. As a past graduate of Leadership SC he is now the incoming Chair of their board of trustees. He is also a board member for Upstate Forever, SC Independent Colleges and Universities, Greenville Technical College Foundation, a City of Greenville Planning Commissioner, and currently serving on the SC Chamber Board. He is a member of the state and national chapters of the American Institute of Architects and at-large member of the National Organization of Minority Architects. Before a career in architecture, he played semi-professional football in the NAFL and in the Arena Football League for the Grand Rapids Rampage, Quad City Steamwheelers, and the Greenville Rhinos. He is a Fellow of the ninth class of the South Carolina’s Liberty Fellowship.
