Bio:
Michael Allen is Founder and CEO of MOA Architecture. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Clemson University. He is one of few architecture majors to be a starter on a college football team and earn his architecture degree. Michael was a Greenville Magazine 2011 Best & Brightest honoree and a Diversity Leadership graduate with the Riley Institute. As a past graduate of Leadership SC, he is now the incoming Chair of their board of trustees. He is also a board member for Upstate Forever, SC Independent Colleges and Universities, Greenville Technical College Foundation, a City of Greenville Planning Commissioner, and currently serving on the SC Chamber Board. He is a member of the state and national chapters of the American Institute of Architects and at-large member of the National Organization of Minority Architects. Before a career in architecture, he played semi-professional football in the NAFL and in the Arena Football League for the Grand Rapids Rampage, Quad City Steamwheelers, and the Greenville Rhinos. He is a Fellow of the ninth class of the South Carolina’s Liberty Fellowship.
