Cindy Kent is an experienced executive and corporate director with two decades of senior leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies and venture-backed startups. A highly strategic and agile leader, she is renowned for inspiring teams amidst complex change and disruption and working collaboratively with boards and senior management to transform businesses for the future and build long-term shareholder value.
As Chief Operating Officer of Everly Health, Kent leads a broad variety of core functions including Supply Chain, Patient Support, Customer Service, Clinical and Telehealth services, and Laboratory Operations. She was recruited to the venture-backed digital healthcare company in 2021 after serving as EVP & President of Senior Living Community Operations at Brookdale Senior Living. At Brookdale, the largest senior living company in the U.S., Kent oversaw 40,000+ employees and 65,000+ residents.
Kent has vast experience leading large businesses in companies with operations around the world. At 3M, she rose to President and General Manager of the Global Infection Prevention division. Kent had full P&L oversight of operations in 60 countries and drove significant growth of the $1.7 billion business, which was 3M’s largest in the healthcare business group. Before 3M, Kent spent seven years at Medtronic, moving up through marketing and operations to Vice President and General Manager of a global business unit. She previously held various brand strategy, marketing management, sales, and engineering positions at Eli Lilly during her sixteen-year tenure.
Kent serves on the board of Accolade (Nasdaq: ACCD) and previously on the board of Best Buy (NYSE: BBY). She is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. She is also on the Board of Trust for Vanderbilt University, where she earned both an MBA and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care & Leadership. Kent earned her BS in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University.
