Title and Organization:
Mohamed is the CEO of Sarwa Investment Management a fund management firm focused on real estate investment. Mohamed has been in the investment management and financial services industry for 20 years working and living in North America, South America, the GCC countries, and Europe. Prior to establishing Dubai-based Sarwa in 2016, Mohamed was head of real estate investment at GFH Financial Group, a Bahrain-based merchant bank and asset manager. Previously he held investment roles in real estate, private equity and infrastructure at various investment firms in Bahrain and the UAE. Prior to his return to Bahrain, Mohamed worked for Lehman Brothers in New York in mergers and acquisitions, and earlier in his career he worked for Spain's Banco Santander in New York and Latin America in the infrastructure privatizations group covering Latin America. Mohamed received a Master's of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Mohamed speaks Arabic, English, Spanish, and French, and has basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. He is a Fellow of the second class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
