Bio:
Dr. Noemi Donoso brings three decades of transformative leadership in public education. She currently serves as CEO of New Schools for Baton Rouge, continuing a career dedicated to driving system-level change and guaranteeing that every child—regardless of background—has access to an excellent education and the opportunity to thrive. Dr. Donoso has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of students across California, Illinois, Colorado, New York, and Louisiana. She began her career as a teacher and charter school principal before moving into district leadership, serving as Chief of Innovation and Reform for Denver Public Schools and Chief Education Officer for Chicago Public Schools. As Executive Vice President at The Wonderful Company, she led major educational and philanthropic initiatives throughout California’s Central Valley, focused on improving outcomes in underserved rural communities. Through every role, Dr. Donoso has remained a steadfast advocate for equity, innovation, and student success—building systems that expand opportunity and reimagine what’s possible for public education in America.
