Bio:
Willow Darsie directs a broad range of activities that advance the Leadership Division’s mission and ensure the excellence of its programs, which range from the dozen Aspen Global Leadership Network Fellowships to several community-based initiatives engaging youth. Willow is particularly focused on partner cultivation and engagement, strategies and communications enabling network interconnectedness and impact, custom seminars for companies, program governance, grant and gift stewardship, and financial oversight of about $20 million in annual operating expenses. Willow was previously Senior Director for a membership organization of emerging market CEOs. She has been Senior Fellow for Partnership and Innovation at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) and Director of Programs at Peace X Peace. As a consultant, Willow advised the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Development Research Centre, the Carnegie Endowment, and others. From 2003 through 2007, Willow was deputy director of the Aspen Strategy Group, a bipartisan foreign policy forum that includes the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue. She began her career at the Corporate Executive Board as a researcher then client manager for Latin American financial services companies and, later, Senior Manager at the Global 2000 Marketing Leadership Council. She holds an MPA from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and a BA in international relations and Latin American studies from Brown University. Fluent in Spanish, Willow serves on the board of directors of Sister Cities International.
