About

First Name:
David
Last Name:
Williams
Title and Organization:
Founder & CEO, Care3
Bio:
David is a serial healthtech entrepreneur focused on unleashing the power of data to improve health access, care, and outcomes. He is currently Founder & CEO of Care3, Inc., a next-generation consumer and enterprise health experience platform documenting medical and social determinants of health. Care3 solves the last mile problem for health plans and community-based care programs by creating a multi-directional "digital conversation" based on real-world health data to drive interactions and interventions to reduce emergency visits and hospitalizations. Care3 has been recognized numerous times for its consumer-centric solutions in transforming the interactions between consumers and the healthcare system, thus improving health outcomes and reducing costs. Prior to Care3, David was Co-Founder and CEO of InvolveCare, a mobile task crowdsourcing application for family caregivers. InvolveCare was acquired into Aetna’s enterprise technology suite after only fourteen months in operation. Prior to InvolveCare, David was a Founding Executive at PatientsLikeMe, the world's first and leading consumer health data-sharing platform. Responsible for marketing and business development, David helped grow the company to a nine figure valuation by inventing the first non-advertising revenue model for a social health company. PatientsLikeMe was heralded by numerous media outlets including Fast Company, ranking PatientsLikeMe the #2 Most Innovative Healthcare Company in 2010. David is also a recognized thought leader, speaking frequently at conferences and is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, Nature Biotechnology and the Journal of Communication in Healthcare. His previous corporate experience includes neuroscience global strategy with Eli Lilly and healthcare management consulting with Deloitte. David serves on the Board of Directors of AdaptHealth Corp. (NASDAQ: AHCO) and the Board of Directors of The Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at UCLA. David earned a BS in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Digital Strategy with a certificate in Corporate Governance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. David is a 2013 Henry Crown Fellow, a 2018 Braddock Scholar, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
