Bio:
Kristin Giselson Palmer serves on the City Council of New Orleans where she chairs the Transportation, Sanitation and Environmental, and Disaster and Recovery Committees for District "C". Previously, she was Executive Director of Rebuilding Together New Orleans, where she assisted residents returning to their homes post-Katrina. As a housing construction and renovation professional with historic preservation and green building expertise, Palmer developed a $6 million annual rebuilding operation and leveraged over $7 million in public funding to create a model for creating long-term sustainability in communities. She earned her BA in history at St. Louis University. Kristin is a 2010 Rodel Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
