Bio:
Anna Kate and Hayne Hipp are founders of the Liberty Fellowship, a program of seminars, service projects and Forums conducted in partnership with the Aspen Institute, Wofford College and Anna Kate and Hayne. Drawing primarily from the business and non-profit sectors, the Liberty Fellowship is designed to identify and sustain values-based enlightened leadership in and for the State of South Carolina. This highly successful program is entering its fifteenth year of operation. Hayne is former CEO of The Liberty Corporation, an owner of insurance companies and television stations with additional investments in media, real estate and technology ventures. He joined Liberty in Investments in 1969, becoming Chief Executive in 1979. He is a former trustee of Washington & Lee University, his Alma Mater and has an M.B.A. from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. He has served on numerous corporate boards and has been active in civic and non-profit organizations in South Carolina and on a national level.
