Suzanne Biegel is Chief Catalyst and founder of Catalyst at Large, and co-founder of GenderSmart. She is a globally recognized speaker, writer, and leader in impact investing and investing in and by women and gender-balanced teams. She is a private investor, movement building leader, adviser, board member, and philanthropist. Her work focuses on investing with a gender lens. GenderSmart is a global community of over 2400 people and institutions committed to investing with a gender and JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) lens. She is highly focused on the integration of climate and gender finance. She received the UK Beacon Award in 2015. She was the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of the Year awards in Los Angeles for the training and communications firm she and her partner grew in the 1990s. Suzanne holds degrees from the Wharton School as well as the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. A native New Yorker, Suzanne lives in London, England, with her husband, Daniel Maskit. She is an avid sailor. She is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Catto Fellowship of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
