Suzanne Biegel was Founder and "Chief Catalyst" of Women Effect, a global community of investors and philanthropists investing with a gender lens, which has now transitioned to Wharton Social Impact Initiative at Wharton Business School where she is Senior Gender Lens Investing Adviser. She is founder of Catalyst at Large Ltd in London. She serves as Investment Director for the SPRING Accelerator. She's founder of a UK based impact angel group called Clearly Social Angels. She is on the investment committee of the Patient Capital Collaborative, a collaborative angel fund. She served on the founding board of Confluence Philanthropy. She is an active angel investor, consultant, board member, and philanthropist. Her consulting focuses exclusively on investing with a gender lens. She is a UK Beacon Award winner for 2015. She was the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of the Year awards in Los Angeles for the training and communications firm she and her partner grew in the 1990s. Suzanne is an active member of Women Donors Network. Suzanne holds degrees from the Wharton School as well as the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. A native New Yorker, Suzanne now lives in London, England, with her husband, Daniel Maskit. She is an avid sailor. She is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Catto Fellowship of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
