Suzanne Biegel is Chief Catalyst and founder of Catalyst at Large, and co-founder of GenderSmart Investing Summit. She founded an initiative called Women Effect, a global community of investors and philanthropists investing with a gender lens, which transitioned to Wharton Social Impact Initiative at Wharton Business School where she is Senior Gender Lens Investing Adviser. She is a private investor, consultant, board member, and philanthropist. Her consulting focuses exclusively on investing with a gender lens. She leads the Women and Impact circle of Toniic where she is an active member. She received the UK Beacon Award in 2015. She was the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of the Year awards in Los Angeles for the training and communications firm she and her partner grew in the 1990s. Suzanne holds degrees from the Wharton School as well as the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. A native New Yorker, Suzanne lives in London, England, with her husband, Daniel Maskit. She is an avid sailor. She is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Catto Fellowship of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
