Title and Organization:
Tenicka Boyd is the Senior Advisor to the President of Color Of Change, where she serves on the leadership team as a strategic thought partner to the President. She helps guide organizational strategy and decision-making. Prior to joining Color of Change, Tenicka was the National Director of the Leaders of Color Initiative, where she supported Black and Latinos seeking public office. Previously she built and led the largest parent organizing effort in the country. She spent time in the Obama administration where she worked on domestic policy issues including education, faith based partnerships, and homelessness. Previously, she spent years as a community organizer working on housing justice, school reform, electoral, state, and presidential campaigns including the Obama Campaign in 2008. She sits on several boards and has appeared on dozens of media platforms including Fox 5 New York, NBC and Capitol New York. She has written several op-eds featured in the New York Daily News, the New York Post, Politico and Crain’s business magazine.Tenicka graduated from Tennessee State University and the University of Michigan. An avid world traveler to well over 50 countries, Tenicka lives in Harlem with her family.
