Gene Wade is a social entrepreneur focused on building organizations that leverage technology to improve education for everyone.
Currently, Gene is a Venture Advisor at AI Fund, a venture studio founded by AI pioneers, where he helps entrepreneurs build companies that solve important education problems by leveraging deep AI expertise and deep domain expertise.
Gene is also Co-founder and CEO of New University Corporation – a startup developing an AI-powered learning platform designed to rapidly scale personalized learning in partnership with a global network of postsecondary institutions and employers.
Prior to AI Fund and New University, Gene co-founded UniversityNow, which created a self-paced learning platform that serves over one hundred and fifty thousand US college students; Platform Learning, an after-school tutoring network that tutored over 50,000 US elementary school students; and LearnNow, a CMO which built and operated a national network of public charter schools.
Gene holds a BA from Morehouse College, JD from Harvard Law School, and MBA from The Wharton School.
