Bio:
Ling Fan is the founder and CEO of Tezign.com. Ling is a scholar, entrepreneur, and catalyst to bridge the design, technology and business fields. He has taught and researched at the University of California at Berkeley, Harvard University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Princeton University. His works of environmental art and interaction design have been exhibited and published globally. In 2015, Fan founded Tezign.com, a venture-backed Internet startup to match designers with pressing real-world business and social problems. Tezign.com has endeavored to build an eco-system for creative work in China. More than 2,000 enterprises and social organizations have benefited from its services. Ling has, meanwhile, cultivated a profile as a thought leader and strategic practitioner. He founded "Design Matters", a non-profit between the United States and China devoted to bringing design values and humanity to technology, in the form of conferences, seminars and workshops, drawing the attention of over 40 media outlets and commanding aggregate audiences of 200,000. He is the awardee of the Thousand Talent Plan by Chinese government, Pujiang Talent Plan by the Shanghai municipal government, Contemporary Young Art Criticism prize from Art Observation journal; the Focus on Talent Award from the Martell Art Foundation and Today Art Museum; and the National Art Special Project grant from the China National Scholarship Council. Ling earned his Doctor of Design from Harvard University, a master's degree from Princeton University, and a bachelor's degree from Tongji University. Ling is a Fellow of the fourth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
