Title and Organization:
Mason Xu is the founding partner of Heyi Capital, a fund management company specializing in early stage entertainment investments. He is also founder, chairman and CEO of DNA Pictures, a China-based film and entertainment company. Mason was group vice president & chief financial officer of Bona Film Group, for which he led the IPO (Nasdaq: BONA). He was also a member of the investment committee of BONA. Prior to joining BONA, Mason was a founding member of China Digital TV Holding Co., Ltd (NYSE: STV). He led the company’s IPO in 2007 in the capacity of executive vice president and CFO. Mason is now vice president of China Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises, vice president of Harvard Club of Beijing, and vice chairman of Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club (TEEC) Beijing Chapter. He is also an independent director of A-share listed Zhongke Chuangda (Ticker: 300496), and independent director of Lord Abbett China Mutual Fund. Mason lives in Beijing and holds two bachelors’ degree from Tsinghua University, summa cum laude, and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. Mason is a Fellow of the fourth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
