Edward Man is the founder of The Associates, a boutique venture capital firm focused on mission-driven investments. Since 2012, seven investments have been made in the area of, for example, electric vehicle system, hydroponic farming, and disruptive startups in the sharing economy. As a flagship philanthropic investment, ChickenSoup Foundation was incubated as a collaborative platform for the private sector to participate in serving over 7000 underprivileged families in Hong Kong. Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Edward was with the Carlyle Group for 12 years, during which he executed seven investments across four funds with $1.5 billion in equity capital. Edward was trained in investment banking and public accounting in New York. Edward sat on the Alumni Board of Governors of the University of Michigan Ross Business School, where he graduated with Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees. Edward was born and raised in Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
