Bio:
Hocking Cheng is the managing director of Asia Pacific for Aetna International's Population Health business. Hocking also serves as the chairman and general manager of Aetna (Beijing) Enterprise Management Services Co. Ltd. Hocking came to Aetna in 2006 from Ernst & Young LLP, where he managed its Merger & Acquisition Transaction Advisory practice in health care industry across the U.S and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Ernst & Young, he managed a portfolio of IP-based data communication services connecting healthcare providers and payers at Sprint. In the early stage of his career, Hocking co-founded WholeThing & Company, which provides medical imaging services to large hospitals across East China. Hocking holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Hocking also has an M.S. degree in Health Science & Technology from Harvard Medical School and MIT, and completed his hospital management internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Hocking finished his medical degree at Shanghai JiaoTong University Medical School, and participated in creating Shanghai Children's Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the third class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
