Tao Sun is the founder and chairman of Elite K12 Education Group, a premium K-12 school operator in China with ambition to nurture Chinese global citizen by providing high quality, dual-curriculum, bilingual education. Tao worked for Providence Equity Partners, a TMT focused global private equity firm, as managing director and head of China. Tao joined Providence in 2012 from Actis, where he was a partner in their Beijing office. Prior to joining Actis in 2008, Tao worked for Merrill Lynch & Co. in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for private equity deal execution and portfolio management in China. Tao holds an MBA from INSEAD, as well as an M.S. degree in Statistics and B.A. in Business Administration from Beijing University. Tao is a Fellow of the third class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
