Bio:
Wei Lai is a Chinese journalist and entrepreneur. We founded New People Yongle Energy Tech Corporation in Nanjing, Jiangsu. It was the first business that landed at U Park Innovation Park in 2011, which witnessed Nanjing miracle. Wei once worked with China's newspaper Global Times as a journalist and producer. In 2010, Wei created an online strategic talk-show "Global 500" at Huanqiu.com for world leaders to discuss issues that may change China and the world. Also, as a founding investor of Worlds Waterfund and the IBM-Waterfund joint venture project, Wei leads water financing and insurance projects with Sino-US partners and promotes the making of water strategies. Wei also works with US partners on the new model of Sino-US investment partnership and the new model of big power relations. In 2011, Wei finished his dissertation "Economic Growth in Global System" which was not published. He also worked at Chinese Xinhua News Agency and Softback E2 Capiatl in early career days. Wei holds his Masters from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies. Wei is a Fellow of the second class of the China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
